Την περίοδο των γιορτών, στις επισκέψεις μας σε σπίτια συγγενών και φίλων ποτέ δε λείπει κάποιο παραδοσιακό γλυκό ως καλωσόρισμα.

Έτσι λοιπόν εκτός από τα πολλά και διάφορα γλυκά του κουταλιού, εδώ στον Βάλτο, φτιάχνουμε και ένα παραδοσιακό γλυκό ταψιού, το ραβανί ή ριβανί.

Ορίστε λοιπόν πως φτιάχνεται το παραδοσιακό ραβανί, στα χωριά του Βάλτου!

Ingredients

1 kg of oil
1300 grams of water
800 grams of sugar
3 κουταλιές μέλι
1 kilo flour
1 kilo semolina fine
a pinch of salt
Lemon, sesame, almonds or cloves

Implementation

In a saucepan, put the oil, water, sugar, honey, salt and some lemon zest. Once boiled, add the flour a little while stirring well to soak. Then add the semolina in the same way. Once it has thickened it is removed from the fire. Grease the 1 baking pan well and add sesame, add the whole dough to a well with a wooden spoon, cut into pieces, add some sesame seeds and put each piece of an almond cooked or nailed with a clove. Then put it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 1 hour and something. After cooling down, we can sprinkle it with a little crystalline sugar.

Ideally, for extra enjoyment, we want the crust to be created at the top of the sweets to become crisp!
